Privacy Policy

Welcome to VNPN, a Vietnamese professional network operated by Association of Vietnamese Professional ans Student in the US. Your use of the Service is governed by our Terms of Service. This policy describes how we collect, use, store and share information about users gathered through the Service. Your access to the Service is conditioned upon your legal authority as a member of the network.

Collection

The Service gathers technical information about you when you use it, such as IP Address, browser type, and other similar metrics. The Service also requires use of and collects a login and password to access the information it provides to members. The Service also collect information about current job, attended schools required in it's membership form. This information is collectively referred to below as “Service Information.” Service information may be collected about a user that has subscribed to the Service.

Use

VNPN uses Service Information to administer the Service, generate customized information using the Service, and to create customized displays for users of the Service.

Storage

Data gathered and generated by the Service is stored on public cloud servers which VNPN has engaged from a third party service provider. VNPN cannot guarantee the security of any Internet transmission or any information stored on such public servers, though we take reasonable measure to protect personal information in our possession.

Sharing

VNPN will not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties except as follows:

Affiliates – We may share your personal information with any parent or subsidiaries, or other companies or entities which control, are controlled by or under common control with us, in which case we will require such parties to honor this Privacy Policy with respect to such shared information.

Third Party Service Providers – We may provide Service Information to third party companies to perform services on our behalf, including marketing assistance, e-mail delivery, hosting services, analytics, customer service and data analysis. We may use independent contractors, such as cloud service providers, to provide services on our behalf and they may access Service Information in the course of providing those services.

Safety, Security and Compliance with Law – We may disclose any information, including Service Information, we deem necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, to enforce our rights or to protect the safety and security of our Service or other users.

Other Third Parties – As of the date of this policy, we do not engage in any direct marketing or targeted third party advertisements, either via e-mail or through the use of cookies or other technical means on the Website and therefore do not use your username or e-mail address for such purposes.
